Seedling Number: Yanwo-Seedlings-2023-18. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2022, first propagated 2023. Midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are light rose-pink, 13cm (5″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Petals are overlaid with spots of slightly darker rose color. High degree of fragrance noted. Guard petals are rounded, notched, and average 6.5cm (2.5″) in width. Flowers possess three smooth, light-yellow carpels with light-yellow stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2cm (0.75″) in length; yellow in color. Produces pollen, however seed fertility has not been noted. Plants reach 66cm (26″) at maturity, and carry broad-blunt, green foliage. Foliage color at time of emergence is green. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary. Named for the speckled pattern of the petals, which enriches the layers of color and overall depth of the flower’s appearance.
