Seedling No. RAISS 16. Parentage unknown. First year bloomed 2013, first propagated 2013. SINGLE, three flowers per stem, 5 inches (13 cm). Cherry red with darker flares extending 15-20% of petals’ length. Petals cupped, slightly notched. Stamens present, pollen absent. Filaments pink at the base, yellow at the tips. Five carpels, sparsely hairy. Stigmas pink, normal anatomy, no seeds. Sheath red, complete. Not fragrant. Early foliage emerges burgundy, matures to green. Typical Itoh Group foliage. Upright mounded growth habit, height 28-30 inches (71-76 cm).
