Seedling number 2-27-2. Parentage not given. First bloomed 2013, first propagated 2014. Early mid-season blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are dark pink, fading to light pink at petal edges, are 12.5cm (5”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are frilled. Flowers possess two sparsely hairy, green carpels with dark pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2cm (0.75”) in length, with yellow filaments. Has pollen, and produces seeds. Plants reach 85cm (33.5”) at maturity, and carry broadly pointed, green foliage with undertones of purple. Growth habit is spreading, and will benefit from mechanical support. Named for Bruttia Crispina, Roman Empress from 178-191CE, as the consort of Roman Emperor Commodus.
