Seedling number 1-2-1-16-535. Parentage not given. First bloomed 2013, first propagated 2017. Early mid-season blooming DOUBLE flowers are red, 16cm (6.3”) in diameter, outward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are frilled. Flowers possess on average three smooth, green carpels with light pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Disk is completely obscure, stamens are between 1.25-2cm (0.5-0.75”) in length. Produces pollen, though no seed fertility has been noted. Plants reach 85cm (33.5”) at maturity, and carry broadly pointed, green foliage with undertones of purple. Growth habit is upright. A vigorous grower with good potential for cut-flower production. Named for a general of the Roman army.
