Sport isolated from ‘Lemon Dream’ (parentage: ‘Golden Era’ x ‘Martha W’). First bloomed 2014, first propagated 2016. Mid-season blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are light yellow, 16.5cm (6.5″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to four per stem. Guard petals are cupped, notched, rounded, wavy, and average 5cm (2″) in width. Fragrance noted. Possesses five moderately hairy light green carpels with yellow stigmas of normal anatomy. No apparent sheath. Stamens are between 1.25-2cm (0.5-0.75″), with light-yellow filaments. No pollen, seed fertility not noted. Plants reach up to 86cm (34″) at maturity, and carry broadly cut green foliage with tones of purple at margins. Growth habit is upright, and does not require mechanical support. The flower gives an impression of a radiating, golden heart situated in a cup of yellow. The lighter-colored petal edges appear to have been cut with pinking shears and lent inspiration for the name ‘Fizzy’.
