Species: P. albiflora. History: Originated by Parmentier in 1850. DESCRIPTION IN BRIEF: Semi-double, dark red, midseason, fairly good. DESCRIPTION IN DETAIL: Semi-double type, not well differentiated; staminodes mixed with pollen-bearing stamens in all stages of transformation; carpelodes also in various stages, with a secondary flower in center; little shape or diameter to the flower. Color amarante red 4 (168). Size medium. Odor pleasant. Foliage medium in size and color, smooth, vigorous. Stems wiry, usually purple.
