Peony Registry

Seedling number 9-8E. Parentage: Seedling SG16 x ‘Sugar n’ Spice’. First bloomed 2015, first propagated 2016. Early-midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are pale pink, 20-23cm (8-9″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, lightly ruffled and notched,, and average 9cm (3.5″) in width. No fragrance noted. Flowers possess, on average, three tomentose, cream-colored carpels with pale-pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are less than 1.25cm (0.5″) long, with uniformly cream-colored filaments. Fertile both ways. Disc is well-developed, and ivory in color. Plants reach 71cm (28″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary
