Peony Registry

Seedling number UHS61. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2015, first propagated 2015. Early-midseason blooming SINGLE flowers are plum colored, 15.25cm (6″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, ruffled, lightly notched, and average 5cm (2″) in width. No fragrance noted. Flowers on average possess three tomentose, white carpels with white stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are less than 1.25cm (0.5″) long, with plum-colored filaments that lighten to a cream-color at the tips. Fertile both ways. Disc is obscure. Plants reach 66cm (26″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary.
