Peony Registry

Seedling number UHS30. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2016, first propagated 2016. Early-midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are yellow, 13cm (5″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, and average 5.75cm (2.25″) in width. Fragrance noted. No carpels. Stamens are less than 1.25cm (0.5″) long, with filaments uniformly yellow in color. Staminodes are also present, oblanceolate and spatulate in structure, with coloration identical to that of the outer petallage. Produces pollen, seed fertility has not been noted. Disc is obscure. Plants reach 51cm (20″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary.
