Peony Registry

Seedling number 9-68A. Parentage: Seedling SG16 x ‘Lavender Whisper’. First bloomed 2019, first propagated 2019. Early blooming SINGLE flowers are pale pink, 13cm (5″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Guard petals are cupped, rounded, ruffled, and average 5.75cm (2.25″) in width. No fragrance noted. Carpels are typically two in number, tomentose, and cream in color with pink stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are less than 1.25cm (0.5″) long, with filaments uniformly yellow in color. Produces pollen, though seed fertility has not been noted. Disc is well-developed, and pink in color. Plants reach 81cm (32″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary.
