Parentage unknown. Seed sown 1935. Very probably a hybrid officinalis x albiflora. Single type. Medium sized flowers. Cream-pink or rosy cafe-au-lait guard petals. Crimson-red stamens at base with yellow pollen bearing anthers. Gray carpels, tipped red. Medium height, strong stems, foliage resembling officinalis but better. Blooms earlier than tenuifolia. Very healthy, no signs of disease having ever been seen on any plant. The variety is distinguished by its extreme earliness, beauty of flower and plant and usefulness in arrangements and as a garden subject.
