Back to RegistrySeedling 3/91. Triple hybrid. Parentage: P. lactiflora ‘Adolphe Rousseau’ x ( P. officinalis ‘Rubra Plena’ x P. peregrina). Seeds sown in 1984 from which ‘Herkules’ was selected as a seedling in 1991. Entered into the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2010 (Certificate # 10806). FULL DOUBLE. One flower per stem, large, with a diameter of 18-20 cm (7-8 inches), dark-red, matt (RHS 59-B). Carpels creamy-green, hairy, stigmas purple. No stamens and no seeds. Flower buds are revealed slowly. Plant semi-spreading, the stems are thick, durable. The leaves are dark green, large, with broad lobes. Anthocyanin coloration of shoots and petiole missing. Plant height -100-110 cm (39-43 inches). Midseason bloom period. The cultivar is intended for cutting.
