Guard petals streaked bright pink to burgundy as they open and unfurl into a light pink flower. Streaking may repeat in the center of the bloom. Average 3 flowers per stem. Fragrant. Pollen bearing stamens, yellow filaments. Stigmas crimson, carpels crimson when mature, produces seeds. Petals irregularly notched. Typical Lactiflora foliage, the stems retaining their purplish coloring well past flowering. Height at maturity 3 feet, with upright growth, benefits from mechanical support. Mid-late season bloom. Named for Jessie Lincoln, the daughter of Robert Todd Lincoln and granddaughter of President Abraham Lincoln. She designed the formal garden at Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home, in 1907.
