Back to RegistryParentage unknown. First bloomed 2020, first propagated 2021. Midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are white, 12cm (4.7”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Fragrance noted. Guard petals are flat, rounded, and notched, and average 3.5cm (1.4”) in width. Possesses three smooth, pale-green carpels with light-pink stigmas. Stamens are 1-2cm (0.5-0.75”); filaments are yellow with yellow tips and anthers. Produces both pollen and seeds. Plants reach 60cm (23.5”) at maturity, and carry somewhat broad, pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and does not require mechanical support. Jiang Nan, the area south of the Yangtze River is the location where this cultivar has been grown with much success, and “xiao xin” means small and novel – descriptive of this plant that is short, novel, and very lovely.
