Japanese. Large, dark Tyrian pink, midseason. Staminodes resembling normal stamens, pink-tinged with yellow filaments. Carpels smooth with dark pink tips; disk inconspicuous, pink. Plant large, compact; many attractive flowers, held well above the foliage. A single Josephine is also described.
