Guard petals not overly wide, 1 inch (3 cm), not making much distinction from the inner petals. Inner petals notched and ruffled, variably streaked or edged ivory. Carpels absent. Pollen-bearing stamens interspersed among the petals, filaments yellow. Staminodal disc obscure. Light subtle fragrance. Early foliage emerges burgundy to green. Upright growth habit, height 26-28 inches (66-71 cm), support not needed.
