Peony Registry

Seedling E-05-07. Parentage: ‘Sonia Hélène’ x P. peregrina. First bloomed 2010, first propagated 2013. SINGLE with two rows of guard petals, one or two flowers per stem, flower size 5 inches (13 cm). Opens intense yellow, fades some with age. Guard petals are rounded and cupped, but with folding which gives a wavy effect and overall artistic form to the flower. Has an agreeable spicy fragrance. Carpels greenish-yellow in color with light red stigmas. Stamens, pollen and seeds. Blooms early. Dark green foliage, rounded leaflets. Average height at maturity 36 inches (91 cm), no support needed. The originator’s best yellow, named for his brother who helped with the peonies.
