Seedling Number 1811. Parentage “Qing Cui Lan” x ‘Kamata Fuji’. First bloomed 2018, first propagated 2021. Early-midseason blooming DOUBLE flowers are violet, 16cm (6.3″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Purple-red flares with sharp edges emerge from the center of the flower, and extend to about 30% of total petal length. Guard petals are flat, frilled, notched, and twisted, and are typically 7cm (2.75”) in diameter. Fragrance noted. Flowers on average possess six moderately hairy carpels that are a greenish-yellow, with cream-yellow stigmas of mostly normal anatomy, sometimes feathered. Stamens are between 1.2cm and 2cm (0.5”-0.75″) in length; filaments lilac in color at base, cream-yellow near tips. Fertile both ways. Sheath is partial, lilac in color. Plants reach about 90cm (35.5″) at maturity, and carry broad-blunt yellow-green foliage. Growth habit is upright. Named for the flower color and form – the color is an elegant violet, and the form double. It gives people a feeling of happiness and peace.
