Seedling Number: PP2013-12. Parentage: ‘Ewelina’ x ‘Neon’. First bloomed 2018, first propagated 2019. Mid-late season blooming, BOMB flowers are a deep purplish-red (RHS-61A), are 17cm (6.7″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to two per stem. Fragrance noted. Guard petals are rounded, and average 1.5cm (0.6″) in width. Flowers possess an average of three very pale purple (69D), moderately hairy carpels with moderately purplish-red (64A) stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are 1-2cm (0.5-0.75″); filaments are light purplish-pink in color (68D), fading to brilliant yellow at the tips (13C). Fertile both ways. Plants reach 110cm (43″) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage with purple margins. Foliage at the time of emergence is purple in color. Growth habit is upright, though the plant does benefit from mechanical support. Name translates to “Lithuanian Mighty Man”.
