Back to RegistrySeedling Number: PP2013-8. Parentage: ‘Ewelina’ x ‘Neon’. First bloomed 2017, first propagated 2018. Midseason blooming, DOUBLE flowers are a moderate purplish-red (RHS-64A), with a lighter shade of very pale-purple (64D) presented at petal edges. Flowers are 18cm (7″) in diameter, upward facing, and average two to three per stem. Fragrance noted. Guard petals are rounded, and average 2cm (0.75″) in width. Flowers possess an average of three very pale purple (69D), moderately hairy carpels with moderately purplish-red (64A) stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are 1-2cm (0.5-0.75″); filaments are brilliant yellow in color (13C). Fertile both ways. Plants reach 120cm (47.25″) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, though the plant does benefit from mechanical support. Name translates to ‘Lithuanian Lighthouse’.
