Seedling Number: 19c-15. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2016, first propagated 2019. Mid-season blooming SINGLE flowers are primarily purple (RHS N74A), 15cm (5.9″) in diameter, upward facing, and average four per stem. Fragrance noted. Guard petals are rounded, and average 6cm (2.4″) in width. On average, flowers possess five smooth, violet carpels (N92A) with red (71A) stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are more than 2cm (0.75″); filaments are yellow (17C) with yellow tips and anthers. Fertile both ways. Plants reach 80cm (31.5″) at maturity, and carry finely-cut, green foliage. Growth habit is spreading, though mechanical support is unnecessary. Named for breeder Marika Vartla’s grandmother, Liviise Weidenbaum.
