Peony Registry

Seedling number 9-3-1. Parentage not given. First bloomed 2013, first propagated 2015. Very early blooming SEMI-DOUBLE white flowers with ruffled, frilled petals that present a light pink interior which fades to white. Light fragrance noted. Flowers are 18cm (7.1”) in diameter, upward facing, and average one flower per stem with a single side-bud. Bud size is 4cm (1.6”). Three very hairy, green carpels with pink stigmas are present. Has pollen, and readily produces seeds. Plants reach 65cm (25.6”) at maturity, and carry broadly pointed, green foliage with undertones of purple. Growth habit is upright, compact, and does not require mechanical support. Blooms with Vanilla Schnapps. Named for the Registrant’s wife, Edyta Magdalena.
