Early-Midseason blooming SINGLE flowers are white, 12cm (4.75″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one to two per stem. Mild fragrance noted. Guard petals are cupped and ruffled, and average 4.5cm (1.75″) in width. Flowers possess five sparsely hairy, yellow-green carpels with white stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are 1-2cm (0.5-0.75″). Fertile both ways. Plants reach 70cm (27.5″) at maturity, and carry broadly pointed, green foliage. Foliage at the time of emergence is green. Growth habit is upright, and mechanical support is unnecessary. The flower shape is similar to ‘Hang Bai Shao’, and is a descendant of this cultivar. It inherits its mother’s excellent characteristics, such as single petal flower shape, white petals, stamens no feathered situation and develop normally and seeds ability, so it is named ‘No. 3 Hang Shao’.
