Seedling Number: MP16-26A-AB. Parentage: ‘Velma Atkinson’ open pollinated. First bloomed 2017, first propagated 2020. Midseason blooming SINGLE flowers are pink (RHS N74D), 20cm (7.9″) in diameter, upward facing, and average four per stem. Fragrance noted. Guard petals are rounded, and average 5-6cm (2-2.4″) in width. Flowers possess five smooth, yellow-green carpels (148C) with red (N57C) stigmas of normal anatomy. Stamens are between 1.25-2cm (0.5-0.75″) in length, with filaments that are yellow in color (15A). Fertile both ways. Plants reach 95cm (37.5″) at maturity, and carry broadly-cut, dark-green foliage that is leathery and relatively large. Growth habit is spreading, and mechanical support is beneficial. Named for putratance, an Estonian dance. Dense clusters of flowers open simultaneously. Cultivar took 4th place at the 2023 Mädapea Peony Exhibition.
