Seedling N-40. Parentage not known. DOUBLE. Mid-season herbaceous hybrid with probable P. peregrina ancestry. Plant looks like a peregrina, but flowers are double, and of an intensely glowing hybrid red that is closer o 7black than to ruby; cluster of green carpels with pink stigmata. Moderate height to 70cm (27 inches) with finely-cut foliage.
