Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2016, first propagated 2019. Midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE to DOUBLE flowers are white, with varying degrees of red striping on both guard petals and interior. Flowers are 12.7-15.2cm (5-6”) in diameter, upward facing, and average three per stem. Slight fragrance noted. Guard petals are notched, and average 6.4cm (2.5”) in width. Possesses three to four sparsely hairy red carpels with pink stigmas. Stamens are less than 1.5cm (0.5”); filaments are yellow with yellow tips. Light yellow-green disk. Produces pollen, seed fertility not noted. Plants reach up to 76cm (30”) at maturity, and carry narrow, pointed, green foliage. Growth habit is upright, and does not require mechanical support. Each flower displays varying amounts of red and white coloration making each bloom a starburst surprise. The unique nature of each blossom is a reflection of all of us as individuals amid the melting pot that is the United States and further, the stars and stripes that represent our flag and country.
