Back to RegistryParentage unknown. First bloomed 2020, first propagated 2022. Mid-season to Mid-late blooming DOUBLE flowers are white (RHS 155C), 16cm (6.3″) in diameter, are upward and outward facing, and average one per stem. High degree of fragrance noted. Guard petals are twisted, rounded, ruffled, frilled, and notched. Reproductive structures are fully petalized; infertile. Plants reach 75cm (29.5″) at maturity, and carry narrow-pointed, green foliage. Foliage at time of emergence is also green. Growth habit is spreading, and the plant benefits from mechanical support. The flawless white color and large overall diameter of the flower are evocative of a white ball gown. “Susu” is the name of a fairy dressed in white in a well-known Chinese novel, and this flower is as beautiful as one might imagine the fairy coming to this world.
