Seedling No. 595/80. Parentage: Variety obtained by crossing in 1976, P. lactiflora  ‘Edulis Superba’ x P. lactiflora ‘President Taft’. Seeds were sown in 1976, seedling selected for propagation in 1980. Entered into the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine in 2009. FULL DOUBLE flower consisting of many closely-set petals, forming a large flower having a high-built silhouette, 6-7 inches (15-18 cm) diameter, by 3 inches (7-8 cm) in height, 2-3 flowers per stem. Petals are bright pink (RHS 68-B). No fertility seen, none is expected, the carpels and stamens invariably absent. Fragrant. Flower buds are revealed slowly. Late Midseason to Late season  bloom. Anthocyanin (reddish-purple) coloration of early shoots. Upright growth habit of 38-42 inches (90-100 cm). Strong stems make an upright bush that rarely will need further support. Named for the originator’s wife.
