Peony Registry

Seedling number LCX2012. Parentage: ‘Lemon Chiffon’ open pollinated. First bloomed 2018, first propagated 2020. Midseason blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are rose-pink, 15.25cm (6″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. Petals are notably and uniformly arranged in an obvious spiral pattern. Guard petals are rounded, notched, ruffled, and are typically 5cm (2″) in diameter. Fragrance noted. Flowers possess on average three moderately hairy, green carpels with rose-pink, feathered stigmas. Stamens are between 1.25-2cm (0.5-0.75″) in length with yellow filaments. Produces pollen, though seed fertility has not been noted. Plants reach 63.5cm (25″) at maturity, and carry broad-pointed, green foliage. Foliage at time of emergence is green. Growth habit is upright; mechanical support is unnecessary.
