(DuMont) – Japanese type flower form. – White, or Orchid. “Wyoming I got at Wyoming, Ill., 10 miles north of Princeville. I believe it is a chance seedling. Orchid shade, mid season.  From Mr. Edward Auten, Jr., August, 1955. “Mr. W. G. DuMont, Des Moines, Ia., was born in Wyoming, Ill., and he started calling it Wyoming, so I followed suit. I don’t know when all this happened. Mr. DuMont is buried at Wyoming. He was a President of the American Peony Society.”
