Seedling Number: Yanwo-Seedlings-2023-28. Parentage unknown. First bloomed 2012, first propagated 2017. Late season blooming SEMI-DOUBLE flowers are pink, 15cm (6″) in diameter, upward facing, and average one per stem. High degree of fragrance noted. Guard petals are rounded, flat, and average 5.3cm (2″) in width. Flowers possess six tomentose, pink carpels with red stigmas. Stamens are less than 1.25cm (0.5″) in length; filaments pink in color. Fertile both ways. Plants reach 98cm (38.5″) at maturity, and carry broadly cut, green foliage. Foliage color at time of emergence is red. Growth habit is spreading, however, mechanical support is unnecessary. Named for its vibrant color and abundant blooms; during the peak flowering season, the garden is filled with a joyous atmosphere and happiness.
