Seedling number 4. Parentage unknown. First year bloomed 2008; first propagated 2010. SINGLE. Flower size 4½ inches (11.5 cm). Two rows of pink guard petals surround a center of pollen bearing stamens. Petals are finely notched such that they can be described as feathered. Carpels are reddish purple, usually 3-4 in number, with red stigmas having normal morphology. Has pollen and seeds. Narrow pointed foliage on stems 36 inches (90 cm) in height. Upright growth on thin stems, but the light airy flowers are held without additional support. Named for the feathered petals which are also reminiscent of butterfly wings. Early bloom season.
